When Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield hit the Oscars stage side-by-side to present an award, social media blew up with folks excited by the prospect of seeing the two actors working together at some point. Well, what everyone didn’t know is that the plan for those two to collaborate could have already been in the works with the upcoming film, “We Live in Time.”
According to Deadline, StudioCanal is in talks with Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield to co-star in the upcoming film, “We Live in Time.” The exact plot details are unknown at this time, but the film is described as funny, deeply moving love story. The film is set to be directed by John Crowley, based on a script by Nick Payne.
Pugh is one of the biggest young actors working today, having already starred in films such as “Black Widow,” “Midsommar,” “Little Women,” and “Don’t Worry Darling.” She has a busy 2023 ahead of her, as well, with “A Good Person,” “Oppenheimer,” and “Dune: Part Two” all being released this year, with the actress set to begin filming her Marvel Studios follow-up, “Thunderbolts,” in the coming weeks.
Garfield, much like Pugh, has a superhero film franchise under his belt, having starred in “The Amazing Spider-Man” films, as well as the recent “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” But he’s much more than just a superhero actor, having earned acclaim recently for his starring role in the FX series, “Under the Banner of Heaven,” as well as the musical film, “Tick, Tick… Boom!”

Crowley is an accomplished filmmaker, having worked on films such as “The Goldfinch,” “Brooklyn,” and “Boy A.” Most recently, he directed the series “Life After Life.”
There’s no release date set for “We Live in Time,” but filming is expected to begin later this year.
