Watch: Welcome To Heartbreak; Full Trailer for Sundance Hit ‘Like Crazy’ Lands

Arriving barely a week after the teaser trailer, a full-length spot has arrived for Sundance hit “Like Crazy.” The long-distance romantic drama stars Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones and Jennifer Lawrence and it struck a nerve with audiences at Park City earlier this year, taking home the Grand Jury Prize for director Drake Doremus and Special Jury Prize for Felicity Jones. This writer saw the film back in January and thought it was easily one of the best of the fest. The film was mostly improvised and manages to capture that suffocating feeling of being in a long-distance relationship delivering a few moments that are truly crushing.

Paramount Vantage are finally beginning to roll out the marketing for the film and though they got off to a rocky start with the initial sound mix on the teaser, they quickly corrected the problem and are now on a roll. The latest trailer adds a few story beats to the previous clip but keeps the aching Ingrid Michaelson cover (not actually used in the film). Though the film won’t be for everyone, tonally it stakes out a space somewhere between “(500) Days of Summer” and “Blue Valentine” and it should pick up some major kudos for Jones’ performance in the film.

“Like Crazy” will hit theaters October 28th. Check out the trailer in HD at Apple or below.

I think it looks lovely but I don\’t know if I can endure another film like \’Blue Valentine\’… it broke my heart for a good 2 days.

  2. Jennifer Lawrence is simply lovely and fantastic in this film (for such a small role)…she was the one who had me crying…her performance was heartbreaking.

  3. Felicity Jones and Jennifer Lawrence are stunningly gorgeous.

A lot of people don\’t know that Felicity Jones is a cougar in this film. In real life, Anton Yelchin is 22 and she is 27.

  4. Whoever cut this trailer is trying too hard. The inclusion of the first song (Dead Hearts?) is even more awkward and unpleasant than the cover that comes later.
