Given that The Weinstein Company are focused on their other big western of the year, "The Hateful Eight," and that the release date is a few weeks away and not much promo has been going on, I was fully expecting the studio to bump "Jane Got A Gun." However, it looks like the Weinsteins are pressing ahead with the Natalie Portman-starring film, and they’ve finally released the U.S. trailer for the movie.

Granted, it’s pretty much the same as the international trailers you’ve already seen, but these new images will provide a fresh look at the former Lynne Ramsay project. Gavin O’Connor ("Warrior," "Pride And Glory") got behind the camera for the film co-starring Joel Edgerton, Ewan McGregor, Noah Emmerich, Rodrigo Santoro and Boyd Holbrook that tells the story of a woman who asks her ex-lover for help in order to save her outlaw husband from a gang out to kill him. But things, as they usually do, get dangerous and complicated.
"Jane Got A Gun" opens on January 29th. Check out the trailer and images below along with a 1-hour talk from TIFF with Portman, where she screened her feature directorial debut, "A Tale Of Love And Darkness."
wow this looks truly awful. really wish they would have let ramsay do what she wanted to. probably would have been a lot more memorable than this garbage.
