With roles in three films jockeying for awards season attention—"The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby," "Interstellar," and "A Most Violent Year"—it remains to be seen which, if any, will rise to the top. That’s not to diminish the work of Jessica Chastain (oops, we nearly forgot "Miss Julie" too), the ever busy actress who can’t seem to give a bad performance. And certainly, she pulls it all out for ‘Violent Year,’ co-starring with former Juilliard pal, Oscar Isaac.
The latest from director J.C. Chandor now has a brand new U.K. trailer, which invites viewers into 1981 New York City, where crime is at all time high. An immigrant is trying to make his way up the ladder and provide for this family, while keeping the corruption from staining his soul and touching his family as it encroaches from all sides. This promo gives a great look at the film, and for more, two featurettes have arrived that also dive deep behind the scenes.
"A Most Violent Year" opens on December 31st. Watch below.
