The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge seems to have wound down, with millions raised and virtually everyone in the Western world having taken a chilly bath at some point, but that doesn’t mean that celebrities are done doing good for charitable causes. This week, the "Stand Up To Cancer" telethon raised over $100 million for research in in the U.S., and now it’s the Brits’ turn, with a similar event taking place in the U.K. on October 17th.
To help raise awareness in advance, a host of big names, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Michelle Dockery, Gillian Anderson, Eddie Redmayne and more, have appeared in a brief spot, which you can watch below. We all know someone who’s battled cancer, so for more information on the campaign, or to donate (please donate!), click here if you’re in the U.S., or here in the U.K.
I will never forgive Bane, Scully or Stringer Bell if any of those people die of cancer.
