Featuring pieces of new footage, mostly focusing, it seems, on Kylo Ren‘s motivations, this spot also includes much of what you’ve seen before, but let’s face it, we’ll watch it ’til we’re blue in the face if only so we can pass the time. But what will the tone be like? Well, perhaps John Boyega‘s comments about his character to GQ are an interesting clue.

"When I’ve spoken with J.J. [Abrams], he would use other films to explain him, like Will Smith from ‘Independence Day‘ or Chris Pratt from ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy,’ " he said.

‘The Force Awakens’ arrives on December 18th, but you knew that already. Watch below.

  1. Just a moment. At first I just thought this was an outright anti-female led \’Star Wars\’ film comment but it appears that Leon might have a slightly different perspective. I\’m interested to know, Mr. Leon. What exactly do you mean by "white privilege" in this case? And what do you mean by her being "paraded around?" I\’m extremely confused as to what your perspective is. I don\’t deny that white privilege exists. But, if you\’re a \’Star Wars\’ fan, why is that your argument? There is only one non-white pseudo-major character in the original series. Now it appears as though the main characters are going to be a person of color, a Latino, and, yes, a white woman. I mean, granted, there\’s room for more diversity here. I just don\’t understand your argument. Are you suggesting that white privilege is present because she appears to be the only woman as a major player in the film AND is white? Also, it\’s extremely difficult to judge this person\’s acting when she\’s barely done any work. She\’s been working in Television and film for a total of four years. And, it would be hard for me to believe that you\’ve actually seen her act. In one of these things on her IMDB page, she literally played a corpse. A CORPSE! How can someone be dismissed as terrible when she has been given such little opportunity to illustrate her talent?

  2. For "tried" I believe you mean "tired" and for "being parading" you probably mean "being paraded." Spell check does wonders. To answer your question, Leon, I care. Star Wars has brought me countless hours of entertainment through the stories told. Star Wars has always been about fantasy and you are wrong if you forget this fact. If you get a chance to watch the exclusive interview with George Lucas (conducted in three parts) released on the 1995 VHS special edition of the OT then you will know Star Wars is a "Space Opera". Go ahead, Leon, attempt to extrapolate the social commentaries of Star Wars until you run out of words. I will simply sit back, put on my Jedi robe, and enjoy what Lucas Film and Disney create. Peace.

  3. Who cares Daisy Ridley should not be the lead. She is going to ruin the series. I am tried of all this white privilege and white women being parading around like this. This is total BS. Ridley is terrible.
