“I love when he gets to have conflict, there’s a lot of struggle for him to try and keep whatever sense of family he has,” Chris Evans told USA Today about returning in the title role in "Captain America: Civil War." And no doubt, the superhero is going to have plenty of conflict this time around.
The Russo brothers return behind the camera after ‘Winter Soldier’ for the biggest Marvel movie, one that pretty much involves all The Avengers (except a certain green rage monster), as they become divided. Tony Stark wants the group to submit to government oversight, but Steve Rogers ain’t having it, and two sides are formed, a battle rages, and the consequences are going to be far reaching. However, most intriguingly, two new faces will be getting in the mix: Black Panther and Spider-Man.
Co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, William Hurt and Daniel Brühl, ‘Civil War’ opens on May 6th.
Update: the version from the Kids Choice Awards has slightly new footage.
Finally, a suit that\’s close to the old Ditko style. Those eyes though – makes him look like a living cartoon character.
…And Matt Damon as Jason Bourne
^^ totally agree. Spidey is looking quite janky here.
Uh, does anyone else think the Spider-Man suit stood out like a sore thumb? It\’s obviously CGI. I guess they didn\’t take Deadpool\’s quip about not making his suit animated seriously. Shame.
He, uh… looks looks like Spider-Man, I guess.
