Marvel isn’t wasting a moment in capitalizing on the mega-success of "Guardians Of The Galaxy." The former question mark property is now a franchise with endless potential, and even before the movie opened this summer, the studio showed their confidence by announcing that an animated series was in the works. Well, now the first taste of what that looks like has arrived.
At New York Comic-Con, the studio dropped the first teaser trailer for the show. Granted, it’s made up of test footage, but it gives you a good idea of the tone, and surprise, it’s not unlike the movie. Yep, there’s action, a heroic Peter Quill, and a risk taking Rocket Raccoon.
Disney XD plans to air the forthcoming series, which will debut sometime in 2015, as part of their Marvel Universe block of programming. Yes, Marvel has gotten so big their TV spinoffs can now comprise an entire section of the schedule on Disney XD. Watch below. [THR]
