With the fifth and final season of "Breaking Bad" nearing its premiere next week, FX and Showtime don't want anyone to forget about September, when they will be releasing the fifth and seventh season of "Sons of Anarchy" and "Dexter," respectively. New teasers for both shows have just been released.
The upcoming season of "Sons of Anarchy" will see the addition of Jimmy Smits, who has joined the show as Neron "Nero" Padilla, a dangerous mentor for Jax (Charlie Hunnam), as well as Harold Perrineau, who will play ex-drug kingpin Damon Pope. Those that watched season four know that Jax will be under pressure in his new position in SAMCRO, but for those that don't know much else about the show, let's just say that the teaser is a metaphor. Either that, or someone is going to die while driving off a bridge.
"Dexter" fans were already treated to a poster and trailer for the seventh season last month, but two new teasers have arrived online. The pair of sibling teasers start off identically but have different endings, showcasing either Michael C. Hall or Jennifer Carpenter at the end. Speaking of spoilers, for those of you who didn't jump ship after season five (like this writer), you may want to avoid watching the spots until you've caught up. Without giving anything away, Dexter is in some serious trouble this season (but likely not too much trouble because the show won't end until after Season 8).
Season 5 of "Sons of Anarchy" starts on September 8th, while Season 7 of "Dexter" starts on September 30th. Set your DVRs now, or, if you have DirecTV and can only see two weeks of programming in advance, set a reminder in your phone. [Vulture/YouTube]
It's pretty much downhill after season 4. Season 5 is ok-ish and season 6 sucked. It feels like it was written by fifth graders.
Lemmie guess: They're not actually brother and sister.
