Back in October we put together a feature entitled Fire Your Agent: 10 Actors Who Need A Change Of Career Direction. And among them was Adrien Brody, who seems to have no discerning standard for choosing projects, just as quick to do a Woody Allen movie as….well, this. Vince Offer, the guy who created the fucking Slap Chop, has made a movie. And basically, Brody, Michelle Rodriguez, Rob Schneider and Lindsay Lohan all need to fire their agents and rethink their careers for being involved in this thing.
A red band trailer has arrived for "InAPPropriate Comedy" (and after watching it, how that title is punctuated still won't make sense) and it is about as infantile and stupid as you can image. Scratch that. It's even more infantile and stupid than you can imagine. Seemingly shot on a Hollywood backlot and/or around a city without any permits, the whole thing seems to be a bunch of black dick jokes and Asian eye gags all delivered with the wit of, "Go ahead, make me gay." We don't even think thirteen-year-olds will find this funny. But Lohan getting to shoot paparazzi has a certain satisfaction, we guess.
Kudos to Vince for managing to get anybody to star in this, let alone an Oscar winner. But dear God….how did anyone finance this and agree to distribute it? Watch below. You have been warned. It opens March 22, 2013 in case you want to see it on a dare.
Sad thing is, this isn't Vince's first film. Years ago, he made a film called "The Underground Comedy Movie" which is best known for containing scenes Vince claimed were lifted for key scenes in "There's Something About Mary" (he actually filed suit against the Farrellys; they won). I'm pretty sure they sold the video through late night TV commercials. It has a 2.7 rating on IMDb. I'm starting to worry about Adrien Brody if he knew all this and still went ahead with it.
You posted about this film voluntarily? Or are there advertising dollars at work?
