What is it about Nicolas Cage and his fabulous festival of wigs that makes us want to sit through whatever shitty movie he cranks out to support castle buying and IRS debt payments? We have no idea but dammit all, as dumb as it looks, we still want to see “Drive Angry 3D.” At the very least, it looks like 10 times more fun than “Sanctum.”
The film centers on a vengeful father who breaks out of hell to chase after the men who killed his daughter. Amazing. In addition to Cage, the film stars Amber Heard, awesome character actor William Fichtner (who looks like he’s walking away with the film in his pocket as the villain), David Morse, Billy Burke and Katy Mixon. But really, Cage and Fichtner scenery chewing while shit blows up all over the place? Yeah, we’ll plunk down $10 and sneak in some beer to watch this.
“Drive Angry 3D” now has a spiffy new red band trailer which you can watch below that does what it’s supposed to: show boobs, blood and drop some f-bombs (all within a span of 30 seconds — impressive). The film opens on February 25th. [IGN]
