Got a Tip?

Watch: Preview Of Footage From The Trailer For Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’

nullLooks like the rumors are true. Just over a week ago word began to surface that the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" would be playing in front of "Prometheus," and with the trailer now set to drop in full online tomorrow, it looks like that will be the case. But you don't have to until Wednesday or this weekend to get a glimpse of the footage, as ET has a preview of what you can expect.

Granted, we kind of find this whole trailer for the trailer trend to be hugely annoying, but when it comes to a flick like this, exceptions need to be made. The preview focuses on the lead trio Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz), Django (Jamie Foxx) and the villainous Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) with the footage here pretty much what we saw in Cannes (you can read our full rundown here) at the presentation by The Weinstein Company. While you won't be hearing DiCaprio drop the n-bomb like we did, you get a pretty good sense of the fun he's having chewing the scenery. Foxx, meanwhile, looks impressive, and it's really Waltz who seems more or less to be pitching the same kind of tone as he did in "Inglorious Basterds." But we really hope Don Johnson features in the trailer, becuase he slayed in the footage we saw.

Give it all a look below. "Django Unchained" opens on Christmas Day.

  1. I'm a huge QT fan but I'm not impressed by this at all. But I'm not worried, the trailers for QT's films usually suck. Remember how bad the teaser for Inglourious Basterds was? I guess people just don't know how to promote a Tarantino film since they never fall into one specific genre. If I was smart, I'd just resist watching any clip or trailer for film… but I don't possess that kind of self control.
