Well, still no word of his untitled Austin music scene movie, or his documentary "Voyage Of Time," but Terrence Malick‘s "Knight Of Cups" is finally coming stateside after premiering earlier this year at the Berlin Film Festival. And now, a new U.S. trailer has landed.
Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, and Natalie Portman are the leads in this movie (which yes, features appearances by many more familiar faces) about existential woes, but this time, it’s set against the hedonistic backdrop of Hollywood. The final result isn’t quite as majestic as Malick’s best works, with Jessica Kiang writing, "the film was for me, just limbo: neither here nor there, neither great nor terrible, just an eternal dance of recollections in which nothing is answered, nothing concludes, and no one grows anything but older and more aware of the impossibility of holding on to all the fragments of time they rented throughout their lives."
"Knight Of Cups" opens on March 4, 2016. Watch below.
two new scenes that last a handful of seconds max does not constitute a new trailer.
There are two new footage just by the 1:48 mark. A woman kindling a flame and Bale pushing a cart with woman in it.
Women have added knickers in this one.
There are a few flashes of new footage, but yes, 95% of this is exactly the same as the first trailer.
It\’s not the same trailer. It is a very a similar trailer. However, there are a few new shots that were not in the old trailer
That\’s the same trailer they released months ago.
This is definitely the same trailer that\’s been out for nearly a year.
I know this because I\’ve been watching it every day for nearly a year.
This trailer has been out for months. Wrong link or clickbait?
I saw it a couple of months ago (hurray Belgium), and despite the fact that the women were pretty much disposable (which is a mere result of the way the film is constructed but nevertheless angered me), I did really like it. I remember feeling empty inside afterwards.
