While the summer blockbuster season comes to a close in a few short weeks (thank God), for those who you like your popcorn coupled with CGI effects and action, don’t worry, as Hollywood will keep catering to you until the end of the year. While the past couple years saw the “Twilight” crowd dominate the fall frame with the vampire romance epics, with that series over, it’s time for a new YA title to carry torch. And that responsibility has fallen to Jennifer Lawrence and those in her district with the sequel, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”
Perhaps you’re bummed about missing the presentation at Comic-Con today, but really, you mostly just missed standing in line to tiny celebrities far away on a stage giving boilerplate answers stock questions (unless Lawrence adorkably goes off the script). All you really need to do is skim below and watch the new trailer for ‘Catching Fire’ and if you’re a fan, wondering just how much more awesome than the first movie it’s going to be. If you’re not a fan, you might just be glad that Francis Lawrence uses a tripod.
Katniss and Peeta are back along with a few folks with names like Finnick and Plutarch and they will make that buttery goodness go down easy on November 22nd.
And that's "received" not "receeived". By the way, the trailer looks awesome…I think Frances Lawrence is definetly the better man for the job.
@Jenny: Right, that's why Jennifer Lawrence has consistently receeived great reviews since The Burning Plain. Lawrence is an excellent actress who also happens to have a well deserved Oscar. Just deal with it and stop being so bitter. As for why KJ is being such a DICK?…who knows or cares…in the future, I think it's best to just skip whatever tripe old K. has written and just read whatever Anne Thompson has written. Thompson has a nice, informative write up on The Hunger Games.
I find funny the lack of unison on Playlist staff behavior: one mocks the franchise, only for the other to go there and give the first movie a B+.
Anyway, cool trailer, seems that it will deliver good.
This film looks loud and ludicrous , like the previous film. When will Jennifer Lawrence ever give a non-wooden performance ? I still don't understand how she won her undeserved Oscar.
I want to punch Josh Hutcherson's face every time I see it. I don't know why, he could be really nice, it just looks like it could really do with a good punching.

Everything about this property just seems so bizarre…
Maybe I'm nuts, but I feel as if this trailer already shows that Lawrence is better suited to the material than Ross, independent of wether that material is any good.
