Reinvention seems to be the name of the game for "Terminator: Genisys." Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s T-800 is now capable of aging, a new plan is underway to save the future, and it’s time to start rethinking everything we knew about the characters in the franchise so far. And that starts with John Connor.
“The script expands on our preconceived notions of who John Connor is,” Jason Clarke, the latest actor to take on the role, told EW. “So I knew I couldn’t just show up and lay down some hard military guy. There’s a lot more going on than that.”
And today brings with it a new trailer to show just how much more. Emilia Clarke, J.K. Simmons, and Matt Smith (in a mysterious role) are also along for the ride, that once again sees a new fight for the future underway, that involves meddling with the past. But don’t expect it to get solved with just one movie — the studio is hoping this expands to a trilogy.
"Terminator: Genisys" arrives on July 1st. Watch the new trailer below, along with a clever "Game Of Thrones"-tied promo spot.
Looking forward to read the reviews : )…
If this is supposed to represent what\’s good about the movie and get me excited to see it, they f***ed up real bad.
Jesus. What a mess.
Wow. How can the visual effects looks worse than the film made in 1991?
A much more intriguing trailer than the last one. At least it no longer appears that they are merely doing a complete retread.
