Got a Tip?

Watch: New Trailer For Daniel Espinosa’s ‘Easy Money’ Starring Joel Kinnaman & Presented By Martin Scorsese

nullIt has been a pretty good 2012 for Daniel Espinosa. The director made his Hollywood debut with the action flick "Safe House" starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, and the R-rated movie exceeded expectations, taking more than $120 million at the U.S. box office on it's way to more than $200 million worldwide. So what does he get for an encore? How about Martin Scorsese presenting the stateside debut of the film that got you the attention of the industry in the first place?

Yep, Marty is giving "Easy Money" a little boost on its way to U.S. theaters courtesy of the The Weinstein Company, but believe us when we say the movie is just fine even without his endorsement. Starring a pre-"RoboCop" Joel Kinnaman, the story centers on a lower class business student who looks to impress a wealthy heiress and gets caught up in some serious drug dealing, and soon becomes addicted to the lavish lifestyle that it enables. It's a much more multi-layered film than these kind of stories tend to go, and Espinosa directs the hell out of it, leading to raves at Berlin in 2010 and a bidding war over the remake rights (with Zac Efron attached early on in the U.S. do-over).

Anyway, see for yourself what all the fuss is about when the movie rolls out on July 11th. Watch the new trailer below.
