Next weekend sees the biggest lizard of them all, “Godzilla,” stomping into theatres, but he won’t be the only creature providing a sizzling summer. Primates will be everywhere in July with “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes,” and the latest trailer is here for the anticipated sequel to the surprise franchise redux hit, “Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.”
It’s helpful to remember that the trailers for ‘Rise’ really sucked, and clearly Fox got the message. So for the Matt Reeves directed followup, they’ve figured out the tone and upped their game to ensure that people will want more ‘Apes’ in their future. This new film takes place takes place years after rise, with Caesar gaining power after a virus kills of most of the human population. But humans aren’t entirely gone, and pretty soon they’ll be facing off against each other gain, with the stakes certainly raised higher this time around.
A pretty terrific cast including Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Andy Serkis and Judy Greer are on board this one which arrives on July 11th. Watch below.

I don't understand why the original teaser trailer 'sucked'. That slow reveal from Caesar's eyes, war paint on and in command, it's still the best part of this new theatrical trailer…
Soulless CGI…
The first one was massively overrated. This looks interesting though.
I hope this one is good as was the first one.
Never saw the first. Suppose I should now.
