The infection is spreading…
The Venice Film Festival premiere of Steven Soderbergh‘s virus thriller “Contagion” is just a few weeks away, with the movie to hit theaters shortly thereafter, and two TV spots for the film have found their way online. They offer up a few new glimpses at the film, particularly at the hysteria caused by the fast moving pandemic and more with Jude Law‘s paranoid blogger who is tracking the disease as it moves around the world. What else can we say about this that you don’t already know? Soderbergh has assembled a phenomenal ensemble — Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Bryan Cranston, John Hawkes, Elliott Gould, Demetri Martin, Jennifer Ehle — and advance word on the flick is very strong. You’ll probably want to take a shower (or two) after seeing it.
“Contagion” hits theaters on September 9th. Check out the spots below. [Vlicious!]
Apparently it was intended to be shot in 3D, but there were technical issues that prevented it. I agree, though, that it\’s cool to see an IMAX release. I\’m not sure how a film shot on digital video will look on such a big screen, but I\’ll definitely pay to find out if it\’s Soderbergh.
It\’s in IMAX though….which I\’m still shocked by….but happy as fuck cause this is a joint I\’d play $18 to see in the format….which is rare for me to admit to. Hope Haywire gets the IMAX treatment…..
The interstitial effects in these TV spots and the initial trailer look totally bargain basement. Not that it deters from me seeing it in the slightest though. All \’Bergh, all the way.
Doesn\’t look like it\’s in 3D, they would be advertising it as such wouldn\’t they?
Looks amazing, highly stoked for this one.
Is the movie in 3D?
can\’t wait!!
