Got a Tip?

Watch: Mary Elizabeth Winstead Doesn’t Know Who To Trust In New Clip From ‘The Thing’

What’s worse than having a job in the icy, forbidding wastelands of Antarctica? Finding out that there is a shapeshifting monster out there picking off your colleagues.

Yep, it’s a bad week at the office for the folks in “The Thing,” the remake/prequel of John Carpenter‘s seminal 1982 film and in this latest clip from the film, Mary Elizabeth Winstead tries desperately to find out who to trust in order to stay alive. While we still have our doubts and reservations about the film, we will say that Winstead proves that she is much more than just Ramona Flowers, holding her own against a testosterone-heavy cast that includes Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Eric Christian Olsen. Whether or not this film succeeds, however, rests squarely on the shoulders of newcomer Matthis van Heijningen Jr. and he’s got some very big shoes to fill.

We’ll find out soon enough as “The Thing” will invade theaters on Friday, October 14th. But for now, get a sample of the movie below.

  1. If the next scene shows one of \”them\” with a handful of dynamite ready to blow them all away if they take another step closer than fuck this movie.

Despite what the studio says to the contrary this is a remake of the remake.
