Sometimes movies just arrive out of the ether, and so it goes with "Standoff." I had no idea this was even a thing, but a trailer is here for what looks like a down and dirty action picture with a mostly single setting location.

Laurence Fishburne and Thomas Jane take the lead roles in a movie marking the directorial debut of Adam Alleca, who penned the remake of "The Last House On The Left" and also wrote the upcoming Stephen King adaptation "Cell." This picture tells the story of a troubled veteran who must protect a young girl from a ruthless assassin. And that’s about all you need to know.
