Keanu Reeves’ career is a head scratcher. He should have been a major star after “The Matrix” movies, and in many ways he is still a globally recognized name. But did you know that outside of those movies his highest-grossing domestic film to date is 1994’s “Speed” with $124 million (adjusted for inflation that’s around $215 in today’s dollars). He’s had the luxury, post-“Matrix,” to star in any old indie or passion project he wants, but perhaps the most interesting movie he’s done is “Side By Side,” the 2012 digital vs. film documentary that he produced and starred in.
It doesn’t really bode well that the first time this writer heard of "John Wick" was this week, but nonetheless the movie is almost here. About a former hitman (Reeves) who is pursued by an old friend who was contracted by a crime boss to kill him, the trailer for this revenge actioner has just arrived.
Directed by David Leitch, a stuntman, actor and second-unit director who worked on films like "In Time," "The Mechanic" and the "Conan The Barbarian" reboot, the cast of “John Wick” also includes Adrianne Palicki, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, John Leguizamo and Willem Dafoe. It may be the first time you’re hearing about it, but Summit Entertainment will release the film nationwide on Oct 24th. Image via Yahoo.
Hell yeah! Will definitely see this! Keanu Reeves rocks!
Looks pretty good actually – some nice b-movie schlock to look forward to
It looks like a very silly action film.
Damned if he doesn't exhibit a palpable range of emotions.
note to 'this writer' : it's 'scratcher' 😉

"That dog was a gift from my dying wife!" Priceless.
Opraman as hit man.
