Unfairly or not, Katherine Heigl is often portrayed in the media as something of a highly demanding, unreasonable actress. And it seems she’s playing with that persona for the upcoming dark comedy "Home Sweet Hell," which sees her going a little bit "American Psycho."
Co-starring Patrick Wilson, Jordana Brewster and Jim Belushi, the movie finds Heigl playing a controlling, OCD housewife who badgers her hapless husband into committing murder after he has an affair and gets his mistress pregnant. From there things get even more devilish as the situation spins out of control. Sure, this isn’t great cinema, but it looks decently playful enough.
No release date yet, but watch below.
Heigel lacks self-awareness, like many other unlikeable actresses (Kristen Stewart, Gwenyth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway). It\’s odd how they can get so famous and be so oblivious to their personas. They all exude an air of entitlement and come across as ungrateful brats. And some of them are not such great actresses that they can get away with it. It will be interesting to see who this film fares at the box office, given the fact that almost any horror film can sell tickets.
Hubby should wake up; she\’s using him for an attempted, but futile comeback.
So, basically she need not act in this one.
