It’s a bit sad that before "Supergirl" has even had a chance to fly on her own on network television, people are already asking when Superman might show up. But thankfully, the show’s producers are busying themselves with trying to fit in DC Comics‘ most iconic character just yet into the latest superhero show.
“Our prototype is the way the president is seen on ‘Veep,’ ” executive producer Ali Adler told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s certainly [inspired by] so much of what Julia-Louis Dreyfus’ character goes through. Ultimately, this is a show about Supergirl and we really want to see it through her lens.” And that’s a pretty decent and allows the show to find its own legs before bringing Clark Kent into the picture.
The pilot episode screens at Comic-Con, but first comes this latest teaser trailer which doesn’t hold back on the action, and…well, tell me what you think. "Supergirl" hits the CBS on October 26th.

This is reminding me (in a bad way) of how Arrow started out (with obvious differences where it matters, clearly). While Arrow eventually managed to right itself into something watchable, I don\’t know if this would be able to do the same. I also suspect that CBS is eventually going to get desperate (provided it isn\’t an early cancellation) and pit it against one of the other DC dramas and it\’s going to get sucker-punched into cancellation orbit.
She\’s Supergirl. Why does she scream and titter like a schoolgirl? I hope she matures quickly \’cause now she sounds like a tween brat.
I think I said this here before, but this headline should start with "Television Is Atrocious: "
