Watch: Jessica Alba And Luke Wilson Hit The Road In Trailer For ‘Dear Eleanor’

Dear EleanorKevin Connolly may be familiar as Ryan Malloy in the 1990s sitcom "Unhappily Ever After," but he’s best known for his role as Eric Murphy on HBO‘s "Entourage." He garnered a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of "E," a guy who will go to great lengths to keep best friend Vince on the right track.

It was unlikely that "E" would become as a director. Yet Connolly has made his second feature film "Dear Eleanor," starring Isabelle Fuhrman, Liana Liberato, Jessica Alba, Luke Wilson and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

"Dear Eleanor Roosevelt, I’m writing to you because my friend Ellie has lost her mind." So goes the opening line for the newly released trailer for this coming-of-age story set in 1962 that sees Fuhrman and Liberato playing best friends who decide to go on a cross-country road trip to meet former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. On the road, the two meet various characters while trying to stay one step ahead of Ellie’s dad (Wilson).

The film looks to be an affectionate, sweetly rendered story with a bittersweet sense of nostalgia. It also seems to be hinting at the cold-war paranoia that stretched into the 1960s with the Cuban Missile Crisis at its peak.

Also watch out for Schwarzenegger, who happens to be the son of Ah-nuld. This is one of three movies he has coming out this year: the other two include a remake of the 2006 Japanese film "Midnight Sun" and an indie called "North." Both are set for release in the fall.
