Got a Tip?

Watch: Jason Schwartzman, Patton Oswalt, Billy Dee Williams & More Visit The ‘Star Wars’ Cantina

nullOf the many little things in the “Star Wars” universe that fans have latched onto, the Mos Eisley Cantina from the first “Star Wars” maybe one of the most enduring. Granted, a lot happened there. It’s where Han Solo shot Greedo, where Han Solo and Chewbecca are first introduced and Ponda Baba gets his arm sliced off by Luke Skywalker. But even with all of that, the bizarre atmosphere and futuristic space jazz captured the imagination of diehard and casual fans alike, with that cantina continually referenced in pop culture, perhaps most notably a few years ago in an Adidas spot featuring Daft Punk, Noel Gallagher, CiaraIan Brown of the Stone RosesDavid Beckham, Jay Baruchel and Snoop Dog (watch it here). Well, it has been revisited again.

Jason Schwartzman, Patton Oswalt and Billy Dee Williams are among the latest patrons of the cantina, in a four minute promotional short for Course Of The Force. In the video, we see Williams step up and deliver a karaoke version of Schwartzman’s band Coconut Records‘ “West Coast,” that soon has all manner of creatures taking part. It’s lighthearted, it’s fun and it’s all to raise awareness for the marathon that will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation in California. Full details here.

Anyway, it’s worth a watch and if you dig Williams’ take on “West Coast,” you can download it for free right here.
