Got a Tip?

Watch: Jason Bateman, Charlie Day & Jason Sudeikis Are Back In Debut Trailer For ‘Horrible Bosses 2′

Horrible Bosses 2

"Horrible Bosses" was a fantastic concept. Get three strong comedians (Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis), give them brutally bad bosses and cast them with some pretty big Hollywood names we don’t often see playing these types of characters (Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey—who we now know as the horrible politician from “House Of Cards,” but it had been a long time since he’d played someone so heartless and cruel).

It had a solid director, Seth Gordon, the filmmaker behind the awesome documentary "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" (though the maybe not so awesome comedy "Four Christmases"). It had a script so good (by Michael Markowitz, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein) that it attracted all this top talent (including Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx) and it was all set to be the best comedy we’d all seen in ages, right?

But something went horribly awry, and what we received in the end was a fairly mediocre and average comedy that wasn’t as black as expected, nor as funny. But thanks to the cast, the movie made over $100 million domestically and over $200 worldwide, so that was enough for Warner Bros. to go, "hey, we made money off this ($35 million budget), why don’t we do it again?

So a sequel was borne and we’re hoping the results are much more promising than the last film. All of the cast surprisingly returns (minus Colin Farrell) and joining the film are Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine (both of them seen just blink-and-you’ll-miss-it briefly).

Directed this time by Sean Anders ("Sex Drive," "That’s My Boy"), the movie centers on the three bumbling heroes—Dale, Kurt and Nick—who decide to start their own business. But things don’t go as planned because of a slick investor (Waltz), prompting the trio to pull off a harebrained and misguided kidnapping scheme.

Due in theaters November 26th on Thanksgiving Weekend, Fox seems to have pretty high hopes for the sequel. Well, interesting premise for sure, but can they improve things? We’ll see. In the meantime, watch the trailer below.
