Another year, another Woody Allen film. And given that Allen is one of the longest and most consistently working directors, turning out roughly a feature per year for the last three decades, we’ll forgive him a little if trailers by this point are becoming a bit redundant.
Thanks to a reader tip, we’ve been pointed in the direction of the trailer (though obviously subbed for Spanish speaking territories) for Allen’s latest, “You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger.” Big band music? Middle/upper class folks experiencing romantic malaise? Affairs? Flirting? Gorgeous apartments? Yep, it’s a Woody Allen movie alright.
The London-set comedy stars Josh Brolin, Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, Freida Pinto and Lucy Punch and premiered this past spring at Cannes where it was met with a collective shrug from critics. We missed then, but we like the yearly ritual of seeing a new Allen film and we’ll check it out when it opens on September 22nd.
Anna Friel it looks like.
I never knew Freida Pinto had a British accent. Holy shit. She's now even hotter.
