Riding a tide of early praise from online critics, should David Fincher’s “The Social Network” deliver the goods, it will be at the front of the Oscar pack this fall.
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake (both of whom apparently give career changing performances), Andrew Garfield, Rooney Mara plus Rashida Jones, Max Minghella, Dakota Johnson, Brenda Song and Joseph Mazzello, this sexed up version of how Facebook was founded has the kind of cast we might look back on in ten or twenty years and wonder at the talent Fincher amassed for his film.
At any rate, a new interactive trailer has dropped for the film. We don’t care much for these novelty marketing materials but it is notable for having a few new snippets of scenes for the film. And while all the talk has been of Eisenberg and Timberlake, we think Garfield is also looking particularly strong here.
“The Social Network” premieres at the New York Film Festival and opens on October 1st.
A bunch of limp dick Harvard fags (and actors) scheming to get rich… I'll pass.
*waits for someone to respond in all caps in its defense*
Well I'm not going to respond to you in all caps, but judging by your comment, I'm going to guess you're not quite as intelligent as the target audience for this movie.
For the haters that think it looks dumb, you're entitled to that opinion, but are you guys gonna freak when this one becomes a major Oscar player, because that IS coming and if you think it's not you're fools.
"… not quite as intelligent as the target audience for this movie."
The target audience for this movie… ?
You mean teenagers? Who use computers and facebook? Like yourself?
I love how the haters are still trying to pretend that no one wants to see this movie. They're practically doing contortions at this point.
That's so cute.
