Watch: Honest Trailer For ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’

null

Where does one begin in the critique of Peter Jackson‘s unnecessarily long “The Hobbit” trilogy? Well, there are many paths to take but as the folks over at ScreenJunkies point out in their latest installment of the Honest Trailers series, “Lord Of The Rings” was based on three books, running roughly 1200 pages long while “The Hobbit” novella is only about 300 pages, and yet both have been turned into epic trilogies. Guess which one feels bloated?

Just in time for “The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug,” a look back has arrived for “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and it brings forth a reminder of the songs, walking scenes and standing around the first entry in the trilogy brought forth, along with the fact that it took 40 minutes for the movie to even begin. That there is even an Extended Edition of the film is kind of staggering. Anyway, enough from us—check it out below.
