Memo to the Academy: Next year, you might want to get the writing staff of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to write jokes for the show, because this nine-minute bit is funnier than anything that happened at the Oscars last night.
In what has become a bit of a tradition, Jimmy Kimmel had an Oscar special last night and the highlight was easily the trailer for "Movie: The Movie." Pitching as movie that combines every genre, Kimmel worked his Rolodex hard to get a ridiculous number of faces not only to appear, but to really have fun with the whole concept. Charlize Theron, Tom Hanks, Josh Brolin, Bryan Cranston, Gary Oldman, Edward Norton, Antonio Banderas, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Matt Damon, Jeff Goldblum, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Christoph Watlz, John Goodman, Kevin James, Tyler Perry, Kate Beckinsale, Don Cheadle and more lend their talents and this thing is laugh out loud hilarious pretty frequently.
Anyway, if you fell asleep immediately after the Oscars like we did, give it a watch below. [via PopSugar]
this was even more boring than the Oscars, but we knew that PLAYLIST has no taste
Sometimes I laughed. What's the point of this maximum mess, maybe JK faces too many stars' faces everyday. 8)
Well, I thought it was funny. Thanks for linking to it, Playlist! I laughed.
I concur with JT. While it had a bunch of movie stars, it wasn't really funny at all. Just kinda impressive someone cut all this junk together.
cheesefest
Playlist, this mess was completely unfunny and forced.
Bryan Cranston was so awesome in it, you listed him twice huh?
