Got a Tip?

Watch: Heroes In A Half Shell Are Back In First Trailer For ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Megan Fox

There are more than a few grown up men and women who are weirdly invested in keeping the integrity of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” intact in the Michael Bay produced reboot. Strong opinions flew around from all corners last year as the movie headed into production, with everything from the origin of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michaelangelo to how they look, hotly debated. Well, like it or not, the final result is a few months away and the first trailer has landed online.

The rather oddball cast features Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg, William Fichtner and Megan Fox (as April O’Neil) among the ensemble, with Jonathan Liebesman‘s film utilizing motion capture for the turtles themselves played by Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), and Pete Ploszek (Leonardo). So what do we get in this first look? A tease at the backstory for the heroes (no, they won’t be intergalactic aliens), a city filled with crime, and four heroes in a halfshell who are ready to clean it up, knocking over Hummers and fighting on subways.

Childhood ruined or are you actually excited for this? ‘TMNT’ hits on August 8th.

  1. I think this looks bad a$$ I don't know why all u guys are hateing on it if n e of u ever read the old comics its darker and gritty. I think they look pretty good coulda done a lil bit better on there faces. My only real complaint is the back story being defrent and shredder not being Oroku Saki cause it changes the whole story but I'm looking forward to this movie being a huge tmnt fan for the last 25 years

  2. Question. Why do the ninja turtles, which I have a prospective right to judge their appearance being a die hard fan when I was a kid, look like green orcs from lord of the rings. Get it together people. I think you guys forget the "fun" part of their look. Was the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie cheesy with costume and graphics. Heck yeah, but it was fun and irreplaceable.

Oh, almost forgot. Ninja bad. LMAO.

  3. Meh. Not amazing. Not awful but just a bunch of flashy, mediocre cgi with shots of open mouth Fox. Throw in some bland, blockbuster typical narration on top and you got a tepid TEASER trailer.

  4. At a distance the turtles don't look half bad, not my taste but tolerable. But close up, well, Mike Myers should sue! Mikey looked like Shrek with a giant backpack! What the hell was with the NOSE on his face?

  5. I thought this was suppose to be live action like the orginal movie, but the turtles look CGI. I was excited about the movie until I saw the trailer.

  6. I agree that the turtles looked like crap, I also dont buy Megan Fox as April ONiel, she is not supposed to be smoking hot, and shredder is supposed to be Japanese, although I do like the actor playing Shredder. I will see it but I'll probably be disapointed
