Though it stars Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, Susanne Bier’s “Serena” has had a hell of a time making its way in front of stateside audiences. Fortunately, the Danish director’s latest outing – “A Second Chance” – has had a fast track to release since its premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and now a new U.K. trailer for the kidnapping thriller has arrived online.
Starring “Game of Thrones” actor – aka Jaime Lannister – Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, as a Danish cop, the foreign-language film follows him as he tries to save a baby from its lot in life by kidnapping it from its troubled parents. In essence, “Gone Baby Gone” from the POV of Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman.
There’s no firm stateside release date for “A Second Chance” as of yet, but you can watch the short trailer below, and read our B review of Bier’s film here. The film opens in the U.K. on March 20th.
