Today is what every director, actor, studio executive, PR person, marketing guru and consultant has been building to all awards season long—the start of Oscar voting. But that doesn’t mean the campaigns end. Rather, one big push is coming (or has come) and “American Hustle” is being given one last chance to shine.
The studio has dropped a pretty generous 30-minute featurette/special, “American Hustle: The Art And Soul Of Survival” that dives headfirst into the making of the movie, the performances by Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams and Christian Bale (all nominated), and the work of director David O. Russell (also given a nod). It’s likely everything you wanted to know about the production from the inside out, and for fans of the movie, an extra treat heading into Valentine’s Day weekend.
If you’re in Los Angeles, this will be on KCBS on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Or you can just watch below. [Deadline]
Loved the film and all, but enough with this Oscar season already! I don't want to read more articles on O. Russell, Scorsese, McQueen, etc. Please, let's move on.
