Part spaghetti western, part slavery/vengeance pic and all Quentin Tarantino, the first trailer for "Django Unchained" has arrived and it's everything you could ask for and expect from the filmmaker.
You already know what it's about. Jamie Foxx stars as Django, a slave freed by the bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz, played by Christoph Waltz, who trains the man and then accompanies him on a journey to track down his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), who is being held by the sadistic plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio). The Weinsteins are selling this as The New Film By Quentin Tarantino — one of the few helmers who is a brand name too — and it has everything that title implies. Mixing brutal violence with a caustic wit, and an exaggerated sense of reality, those looking for a "Roots" style story, best head somewhere else. This is slavery and westerns through the Tarantino prism, and if you're already a fan of the filmmaker this likely doesn't disappoint.
Cast wise, everyone looks uniformly strong, with DiCaprio standing out as the sneering villain and Foxx nicely commanding the title role with some charisma to spare. This is basically an edit of the ten minutes of footage we saw at the Cannes Film Festival and unfortunately, you'll have to wait to see Don Johnson, who slayed in the reel that played. But enough talk — "Django Unchained" opens on Christmas Day. Watch below.
I went to the screening for this film yesterday night, Tarantino was there for a Q&A,
I must say in all my 35 years in the film industry, this is the most amazing, and beautiful film, I have ever seen! I have never been more moved by a film, it's not exactly like trailer portrays, it's a true blockbuster, something for everyone! Crazy at some parts, but that's what you'd expect from a Tarantino flick, Jamie Foxx delivered the performance of his life! Better than Denzel in training day, I shit you not! I'm not even a fan of his, but sometimes you just have to admit, you just have to congratulate your fellow man on a Job done perfectly and Jamie was without a doubt perfect in my book… Christoph Waltz played the same, cheeky asshole character Reference: Ingorious Bastards & Carnage, only he had much more of a heart in this film, his connection with Jamie was quite remarkable, they were a real team. I think this is the best action movie ever made! A total must see!! Tarantino May have finally done it! People are going to go crazy! There is a reason why this film got the holiday release date, this an instant Classic, if he had release a film lie this 10 years ago, it would have been a little too much for some people, but this is the right movie, for the right time!! But don't forget the reason for the holidays, peace and love everyone!
not going to pay a cent to see this bs
why can NO ONE make a western anymore??? this just sucks

Hey, did anyone else also noted there is a poster offering a reward for Edwin Porter for 'train robbery' ?! Loved it!
There are THREE songs. The Johnny Cash song, The Payback by James Brown and a third one. What's the third one? It plays when the two drawn hands break the chain.
Just realised something. Christoph Waltz's character's name in Django Unchained is Dr. King Schultz. Jamie Foxx plays Django, as a black slave.
In the trailer, Schultz offers to free Django in return for his services. Or rather "DR. KING WILL FREE THE SLAVES." Reference to Rev. Martin Luther King perhaps!
Tarantino at his BEST!
very nice trailar but my amithab not there in the trailar
Stupid not to focus on DiCaprio in my opinion. Anyone who watched that trailer without any prior knowledge would have no idea if he's even a major character. By the looks of it Calvin Candie is going to be one of those characters that captures the general public's imagination and gets gums flapping; why you wouldn't want to draw attention to that as soon as possible (especially when the role is being played by a huge star against type) is beyond me.
Yep. Count me in.
Where can I get the script???
lol Will Smith… He's comes across as this safe, out-of-touch, trillionaire, childstar foster now. The connection people had to the Fresh Prince and Mike Lowery is long gone. Good for Jamie Foxx.
What's the song at the end called?
Very underwhelming trailer. Typical for a Quentin flick though. Was hoping to see more of Leo. The blood spraying across the cotton, oh yes.
Leo looks hilarious in this, love it.
My favorite part of Django Unchained is that Hans Landa is in it again. Fey, articulate/eloquent eccentric German. So glad Tarantino decided to include this exact same character again only transport him in time a bit. I guess, it's a prequel, that's cool.

um…it's only playing that retarded monster brawl advertisement and no trailer!! wahhhh
Y'all are dicks.
I think I'm the only one that thinks this movie looks amazing..
The D is silent, this trailer was informative.
Very excited about the movie, but that trailer was pretty awful.
Could be wrong, but believe he is German.
Fucking taken down 🙁
It's supposed to come on at 4:00 PST
Will Smith turned this down for MIB3?
As good an actor as Christoph Waltz is and especially since he has a penchant for languages anyway (I think he speaks at least 4) I'm surprised he can't do an American accent, or is his character supposed to be German?
that looks awesome…
Two questions:
1. That was it?
2. Worst tagline ever?
Um, that ain't no QT trailer.
That's not Django Unchained…
wrong link?
You posted the previous trailer again.
