"We’re going to show what the largest earthquake ever recorded would look like, all in a highly populated area," director Brad Peyton told USA Today about his not so subtly titled "San Andreas." "And this earthquake would have the potential for global impact because the Earth is having an event." And if that description excites you, then sit back, because the first trailer for the movie has landed.
Dwayne Johnson takes the lead role, with Carla Gugino and Alexandra Daddario flanking him, in the story of a helicopter rescue pilot, who teams with his ex-wife to save their daughter when The Big One hits California. "It all goes down. The damage, destruction, the loss of lives," Johnson said. "Everything that you know on the West Coast doesn’t see tomorrow." And indeed, from the Hollywood sign to the Hoover Dam, nothing is spared.
"San Andreas" rumbles on May 29th. Watch below.
