The gang is back! Well, sort of. Hugh Grant has opted out of making another ‘Bridget Jones‘ movie, but the franchise must soldier on, and over a decade since "Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason," the next chapter is coming with "Bridget Jones’ Baby." And as usual, our heroine, played by Renee Zellweger, will find her heart fluttering elsewhere, this time catching the attention of Patrick Dempsey.
“He’s a very different kind of rival,” Colin Firth told EW about his of his onscreen rival. "He’s not somebody I’ve known since we were kids. He’s an outsider and he threatens Mark Darcy in a very, very different way than Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) did.”
And it seems the stakes this time around go beyond love. “There are various mysteries to be resolved,” Firth said. "Who does she end up with? Whose baby is it? You can resolve one and make the other a question. Those are things which might not be revealed until very later on. I rather like it. It’s not often you have something where you have the possibility of keeping a surprise.”
"Bridget Jones’ Baby" arrives on September 18th.

Well, at least the actress they got to replace Renee Zellweger looks a little bit like her.
