“She’s an Amazon warrior; she’s the best fighter in the DC Universe,” says DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, who is becoming a major part of the WB/DC Films Universe too (a co-writer on a "Batman" script with Ben Affleck). The company is going a little buck wild tonight, first debuting a new “Suicide Squad” trailer, which literally just owned nearly every superhero trailer of the last few months, and and now giving us a first look at “Wonder Woman” footage during the "DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League" special on The CW hosted by Johns and superfan Kevin Smith.

An origin story set in WWI, “Wonder Woman” stars Gal Gadot at the titular Amazon warrior, and features Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Said Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, and Connie Nielsen. Producers include Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder, with Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Rebecca Roven serving as executive producers.
Principal photography is taking place place on location in the U.K., France and Italy — and Matthew Jensen (“Chronicle,” “Fantastic Four,” HBO’s “Game of Thrones”) is the DP under director Patty Jenkins (“Monster,” AMC’s “The Killing”). “Wonder Woman” is due in theaters June 23, 2017.
