With "True Detective" dominating audience eyeballs and media coverage this week, you may have forgotten that HBO debuted two other shows on Sunday night: "Ballers" and "The Brink." But now’s your chance to catch up with them again for the first time.
HBO has dropped the first full episodes for each show on Facebook. "Ballers" stars Dwayne Johnson and Rob Corddry and is basically "Entourage" in the world of sports. I didn’t particularly care for it, but the glossy sheen makes it somewhat engaging, but not necessarily filling. As for "The Brink," Tim Robbins and Jack Black lead this one set in the world of geopolitics, following the personalities trying to stop WWIII.
