Got a Tip?

Watch: First Clip Of The Vision in ‘Age Of Ultron,’ Chris Evans Open To More ‘Captain America’ Movies

Captain America, Vision, UltronLet’s start with the meatier items and then move down to the marketing. Yes, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner used some unfortunate and insensitive knucklehead language in this "Avengers: Age of Ultron” interview from Digital Spy about the Black Widow character. Let’s chalk it up to a mistake, but not diminish it too much either, and both men have since apologized. “We answered in a very juvenile and offensive way that rightfully angered some fans. I regret it and sincerely apologize,” Evans said

Later in the interview, with less kidding around thankfully, Evans said his comments last year about taking a break from acting, hanging up the Captain America shield, and concentrating on directing were overstated. In March of 2014, when those comments were said, it appeared that Evans was looking forward for his Marvel contract to be done so he could move on, relax, and direct. But in this Digital Spy interview (which you can see in full below) published yesterday, Evans suggested that it’s really up to Marvel whether they wanna renew the contract or not.

"I gave an interview once where I said I was gonna try and focus a little more on directing, and that’s true, it’s what I’m excited about right now," Evans said. "But acting is still… I love acting, in no way am I walking away from acting. With [the role of Captain America], it’s a matter of whether or not Marvel wants to keep knocking, but my contract is up after the last Avengers movies."

OK, Marvel, your move (frankly, they’re probably very happy to hear this). Renner and Evans also admit their surprise about Spider-Man entering the MCU and the deal made with Sony. “It seemed like a tall order, but Marvel pulled it off,” Evans said.

Lastly, while we’re here talking ‘Avengers,’ a new clip from the film has been released. It features Paul Bettany’s character, The Vision, an artificial intelligence born from Tony Stark’s Jarvis program. “Avengers: Age of Ultron” opens in the U.K. today (April 23) and in the U.S. on May 1. Watch the interview and check out the clip below.
