Geez, it’s been two days since we last wrote about “Man Of Steel,” which in Marketing Years is practically a lifetime. So we’ll start off your day with a plethora of new goodies as we’re now just over a week away from the film hitting theaters. And it starts off with two clips from the flick.
First impressions? Um, maybe Zack Snyder should’ve bought a tripod? The handheld aesthetic is…interesting…but considering this is also coming in 3D, we’re not sure those two things will go well together. As always, we’ll see how it plays out. Secondly, among our comments section there was some debate as to whether or not the “Super–RADIO STATIC” gag was just an editorial choice or from the actual scene in the movie. Answer: it’s from the actual scene in the movie.
After that, check out a 13-minute featurette for the film (which has some material you’ve seen already in previous featurettes, plus some new stuff) along with two more of the endless TV spots. “Man Of Steel” flies high on June 14th. [Live For Films]
The acting looks a bit better than Watchmen, but still kinda wooden. At least with the marketing campaign they didn't have a featurette every goddamn week. By time Watchmen came out, I had seen most of it.
