Call it a victory lap for Sony. After a protracted back-and-forth regarding the release of Seth Rogen and James Franco‘s "The Interview," the studio finally put it out in limited release and on VOD last week just in time for Christmas, and were rewarded amply. The comedy took in $15 million on VOD alone, added another $1 million and change from theatrical, and all things considered was a success. But as a reminder that the movie is ready to order with the click of a mouse, a new red band trailer has arrived.
Surely you already know the plot of the movie, and if you liked "This Is The End," then you’ll probably be just fine with this wildly, proudly juvenile movie. But what about the hack? While the FBI is still blaming North Korea, another theory suggests that ex-Sony employees may be behind the crime. No matter who was behind the breach, if you want to see Seth Rogen and James Franco take on the Katy Perry-loving Supreme Leader, you totally can.
"The Interview" is now playing around the country (check our listings) or you can order it on pretty much any major digital outlet, including Apple iTunes.
