Originally slated for this past summer but suddenly pushed back only weeks away from release, nothing had been heard for a while about the Wachowskis‘ upcoming sci-fi epic "Jupiter Ascending." But that silence has ended. Today, a huge, nearly three-minute long trailer has dropped, and maybe your opinion will change once you watch it?
Essentially Cinderella in space with lots more VFX and explosions, the film stars Channing Tatum as a bounty hunter tasked with taking down a lowly janitor playing by Mila Kunis. But the hunter changes his mind and finds himself protecting a young woman who turns out could be like, the Queen Of The Universe. Basically, the movie looks like the same thing that was sold to us earlier this year, with lots of very expensive looking set pieces, yet still feeling hokey and overstuffed. But if this film ends up evoking "The Fifth Element" style fun, we could roll with it.
