So it appears David Lynch is paying more attention to music these days than movies. He recently made a pretty tepid foray into electronic music and also directed a Duran Duran concert webcast last month (did anyone watch it?). And it looks like he’s been working with New York City rockers Interpol lately too.
Last weekend at the huge Coachella festival, the band unveiled an animated short film they apparently collaborated with Lynch on titled “I Push A Red Button” during their song “Lights.” Typical of Lynch, the meaning of it is pretty enigmatic and frankly, it’s not all that compelling but we suppose it’ll have to do for now he makes his next movie at some point. Check it out below, but warning, you’ll have to endure Interpol while you watch it. [via Twitch]
We don\’t like Lynch now?
Because we love you Abner.
Why did you bother if you don\’t like Lynch or Interpol and the vid quality is balls?
\”Check it out below, but warning, you’ll have to endure Interpol while you watch it.\”
Yes, Interpol is terrible, couldn\’t even sit through the video.
Dude, chillwave is so 2010.
There\’s no reason to make this place into the Pitchfork of movie news. The snarky ass \”i\’m better than you\” bullshit really needs to subside a bit. i\’m sure your brooklyn chillwave musician friends would agree.
Hey now Interpol\’s first two albums are great.
