Disney’s D23 expo — the Mouse House’s equivalent to San Diego Comic-Con — came and went this past weekend, bringing much of the world’s manchild population to Anaheim for several days of Disney-related fun. Given the studio’s increasing dominance of the tentpole field thanks to their acquisition of Marvel and Lucasfilm, hopes were high that some hot news might drop, but outside of some casting for some Pixar movies, it didn’t really happen.
Fans were treated, however, to some cast appearances from some big upcoming movies, including Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Guardians Of The Galaxy,” as well as Disney’s home-grown fare including “Maleficent,” “Muppets Most Wanted” and “Cinderella.” If you weren’t there, you can take a look at some of the presentations (minus any footage, which cannot legally make its way online), including the Marvel ones in full, below. Plus, best of all, you can listen to Tom Hiddleston sing “The Bear Necessities” from “The Jungle Book.” There’s a whole load of other backstage interviews and what not to be watched here as well.
No one noticed. No one cared.
