After a brief teaser dropped last week with little explanation, showing James Gray directing something with Ewan McGregor and Vinessa Shaw, we were quickly informed that it wasn’t short film or any other kind of movie project. Instead, it was ad for French carmaker Citroen, and now the the results that collaboration have been revealed.
The 30 second spot features a Bourne-esque interrogation that eventually gives way to description of the attributes of the Citroën DS5 Hybrid4. It’s a thirty second little thing, so no need to overthink, and if anything it’s a quick job for Gray and also let’s him play brief in a genre he has really tackled yet (though he might be if the thriller “The Gray Man” gets moving).
