Are you ready for another post-apocalyptic YA franchise? If your answer is "no," too bad, because another such film is coming anyway! It’s a tale of a young woman and a hunky guy who have to save the world against all odds, it’s called "The 5th Wave," and the first trailer is here.

Chloe Moretz leads the movie, based on the first book in a trilogy (naturally) by Rick Yancey. Moretz plays Cassie, who takes fights back after Earth comes under attack from The Others, who have one goal in mind: wiping out humanity. Here’s the official synopsis:
In The 5th Wave, set in the present day, four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, 16-year-old Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie meets a young man who may become her final hope.
Co-starring Maika Monroe, Liev Schreiber and Ron Livingston, the film opens on January 15, 2016, and intriguingly is directed by J. Blakeson, the man behind the underrated "The Disappearance Of Alice Creed." Watch below.
An alien story about a young guy and a beautiful girl, I can\’t wait. I love realistic alien invasion movies where the aliens don\’t just come to earth and start shooting humans with lasers. The only actor I know in this movie is Chloe Moretz and she is a fantastic actress so I am really looking forward to seeing this movie.
Chloe Moretz\’s bad acting ruins the whole thing. Who cast her in this (or anything)?
I just cant tolerate chloe moretz overacting..the rest of the trailer looks not too great with kinda cheap special effects and the same old recycled ya apocalyptic dialogue.
I read and enjoyed the books, but this trailer does little to excite me for the movie versions. I hope it\’s more Hunger Games and less Twilight.
