Primarily known on this side of the ocean for his bracing coming-of-age skinhead tale “This Is England” (which was recently followed up with the TV series “This Is England ’86“) director Shane Meadows is showing a much softer, gentler side to himself in a new juice ad (seriously) for Brit brand Robinsons.
It’s pretty winning little one minute spot that finds a few kids putting a pitcher of juice in a wagon and going around their neighbourhood handing out glasses of juice to folks in the community. Listen, it’s a juice ad so don’t expect any brain-busting narratives it’s a just small piece of advertising that’s a bit more charming than usual and finds Meadows tweaking his working class aesthetic into something broadly appealing. Mission accomplished. Check it out below.
music t\’was a bit obvious.
cute though. even the quiet cornrowed black kid.
