A gap across time is bridged in Bryan Singer’s latest comic book entry “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” which means the director has the dominating task of doubling his cast of mutants while keeping the film narratively taut. We’ve heard of various ways he might tackle this issue, but today we’ve also got several new behind-the-scenes clips taking us deeper into the film’s dizzying timelines, locations, and approach.
Taking advantage of the super-sized marketing budget attached to the film, 20th Century Fox have released (via SlashFilm) a series of six behind-the-scenes videos surrounding different aspects of the production. Singer serves as ringleader to them all, discussing the biggest film he’s ever mounted, leading tours around sets familiar to any fan of the franchise, and also delving into the time-travel elements of the plot, which sees the threat of Sentinels in the future sending Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) into the past to fix it.
In addition to the clips, you can also take a look at three new pics of the past mutants (via Comic Book Movie), including Nicholas Hoult as Beast/Hank McCoy, Quicksilver (Evan Peters), and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. Check the whole lot out below.
