It isn’t often said or appreciated, but it actually takes a bit of bravery and self-confidence for an actress to get up on the big screen and makes themselves sexually awkward, inexperienced and/or unattractive on the big screen. In an industry where looks hold sway and where judgment comes with your morning latte, we have to give some props to Aubrey Plaza for willing to go the distance. But it looks like folks will be happy she did.
The sex comedy “The To Do List” arrives later this month (and it’s one of our 10 Films Worth Tracking Down This July), and the first clip is here with Plaza getting into a bit of trouble with the backdoor. The premise for the ’90s set movie, hence the clothing, is pretty straightforward: on her way to college, a clean cut high school graduate aims to cross off every sexual act on her bucket list to get some experience. But of course, nothing ever goes to plan.
Co-starring an insane ensemble including Rachel Bilson, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Scott Porter, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Johnny Simmons, Sarah Steele and Alia Shawkat, “The To Do List” opens on July 26th.
