This weekend, you can head to the multiplex and see the latest dystopian YA adventure, watch Russell Crowe prepare for the flood, or if it’s playing near you, perhaps check in to “The Grand Budapest Hotel.” But if you’re looking to just turn off your brain and watch an action film with all the subtlety of a bloody steak thrown on the grill, then “Sabotage” will do the trick.
One of two movies coming this year from “Training Day” and “End Of Watch” director David Ayer (the other being the WWII flick “Fury“), this finds Arnold Schwarzenegger deciding not to wink at the camera for once and go all in, playing part of an elite DEA squad who raid a cartel, think their day at the office is done, only for each of them to start getting picked off. And as you might expect from Ayer at this point, this is visceral stuff with a new clip and a behind-the-scenes look selling the sizzle.
Co-starring Sam Worthington, Olivia Williams, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello, Harold Perrineau, Josh Holloway and Mireille Enos, “Sabotage” drops on March 28th. Watch below, along with a TV spot.
